Paula Pacheco Araujo is the visionary founder and CEO of GWPAHub. After moving to Ireland in 2018 to explore new career opportunities, she recognised the challenges women face in advancing their careers without a strong support network. Inspired by this, Paula founded GWPAHub—a vibrant community that connects, supports, and empowers women at every stage of their professional journeys. With a background in HR and a passion for mentorship, Paula is dedicated to creating an inclusive space where women can collaborate, grow, and achieve their career ambitions. Today, she leads GWPAHub with a commitment to inspiring confidence, building connections, and driving professional success.
“Empowering women isn’t just about building careers; it’s about creating a space where confidence, collaboration, and growth become unstoppable.”
Paula Pacheco Araujo believes in the power of connection, collaboration, and continuous learning as the foundation for women’s success. She believes that when women support each other, they can overcome any challenge, grow their confidence, and reach their full potential. Paula is committed to creating spaces where every woman feels seen, heard, and empowered to pursue her career ambitions without limits.
Girls Who Plan Ahead was established to address the urgent need for supporting women in Ireland who face significant challenges in entering the workforce. Founded by Paula Araújo, the initiative arose from a keen observation of the barriers many women, particularly Brazilian women, encounter, including a lack of confidence, even with outstanding professional CVs and strong career backgrounds. A key challenge highlighted by many is the fact that they are immigrants. Since its inception, the organisation has grown rapidly, attracting women from diverse fields who are keen to advance their careers or launch their own ventures. Today, Girls Who Plan Ahead stands as a beacon of inspiration and a catalyst for progress for women throughout Ireland.
To empower Brazilian women residing in Ireland by providing the necessary support, resources, and guidance to help them enter and thrive in the Irish job market. Through personalised assistance, events, and workshops, our mission is to create a support network that strengthens confidence, develops professional skills, and promotes emotional well-being.
To be the leading community for Brazilian women in Ireland, focused on career and entrepreneurship, transforming the process of integrating into the job market into an inclusive, collaborative, and empowering experience. We aim to create a future where every woman who is part of GWPAHub feels supported and prepared to achieve her professional goals, overcoming challenges such as impostor syndrome, cultural barriers, language difficulties, lack of knowledge about the local market, and the loneliness faced when starting a new professional journey in a foreign country.
We welcome women from different backgrounds and experiences, fostering an environment where everyone feels valued and respected.
We believe in the power of community to overcome challenges and achieve goals, offering continuous emotional support and encouragement.
We are committed to ongoing capacity building, providing resources and events that help our members enhance their skills and advance in their careers.
